BIOGRAPHY
Marsha is a classical and electric violin and viola player. Her interest and taste in music has always been very eclectic and she is able to turn her hand to many contrasting genres both as a performer and a writer. Because of these skills she has now got a flourishing career playing Bollywood music, which is very close to her heart.
Marsha attended the famous Chetham's School of Music before studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. She was inspired to play Bollywood music by the violinist Chandru and also took lessons with Nandini Muthuswamy one of the Violin Sisters.
Marsha's CV includes working with many well known names including Salim-Sulaiman, Sam Smith, Passenger, Rod Stuart, Natalie Cole, Lulu, Ronan Keating, Maurice Gibb, Sting, Vanessa-Mae, Westlife, Gareth Gates, Moloko, Spiritualised, Andrea Bocelli, Russell Watson.
Marsha has also played for Michael Ball for severl years and most recently has lead the strings for the Michael Ball and Alfie Boe tours including playing at a concert at Buckingham Palace for Prince Charles.
For Asian Weddings and other events Marsha is able to play for up to 2 hours and can perform a mixture of styles including Bollywood, pop or Classical. In addition to this, Marsha is also able to play either for an entrance or a first dance. All music is played to specially made backing tracks. Marsha can supply a small PA for background music or can link with a larger PA supplied by a DJ.
Marsha has worked with most of the DJ and sound companies in London and the South East so has a good working relationship with them and knowledge of their equipment.
